The premise is rather basic and the same can be said about the animation but I liked the first episode enough to want to see more. A large part of that is due to Akihiko being an amusing a-hole. I also like the idea of Kanna playing the role of fake paranormal detective and working with said a-hole to solve cases. I do wonder if the supernatural will always be proven fake or if there will be sitations where Akihiko can't provide a logical answer.

So, is this available via streaming in the US, or anywhere in North America?

This is like the fourth show this season where I'm afraid I'm going to have to sail the seas. Crying or Very sad And I already sub Crunchy, HiDive, Prime and Netflix, so it's not like I don't try to get stuff. Though I mainly get Prime and Netflix for other stuff.

What an interesting premise. Episode two seems to suggest that special powers and monsters/gods/etc do in fact exist but yet the mysteries that Kanna encounters are very much not supernatural in nature.

Availability streaming wise I am not seeing the show anywhere.

I guess this isnt a very popular show. Its mysteries are not the most engaging so I can see why it has not attracted any attention. Its an easy show to stop watching. I only watched it cause I was bored and saw it on the list of shows recently aired.

That and the fact it has no legal english distribution because its licensed just for South East Asian Youtube.

It is indeed not a very popular show. The mysteries are rather mundane yet not in a bad way and they do entertain. The cases are also always solvable for the viewer and the episodes give some insight in the Japan of the time plus some information about the supernatural while very much being a grounded show (thus far).

I am an episode behind but boy was the family situation in episode 5 handled poorly by the mother. That whole mess was enough to give a girl a heart attack, it could have been handled better in so many ways.

That was a fun show. I like that all of the cases appeared supernatural in nature but were proven to be the result of human action or confusion. Despite it not being a supernatural show the supposed monster of the week was always explained lore wise. Kanna and Chuuzenji made for a fun detective duo and the slice of life segments were fun. The animation was never anything beyond okay though.
