My hope is that this is just a case of the team sacrificing some of the quality control for Episode 3 because they're giving that much more attention Episode 4 as an animation showcase. It wouldn't be the first time that Fire Force intentionally cooled its jets before boosting into overdrive. So, while the rough presentation here is regrettable, it may just pay off in the end.

I regret to inform you that most of FF's regular ace animators from S1 & S2 aren't on S3 and/or left DavidPro. So things picking up in this regard is no longer a guarantee.

Dang...

I knew something felt off by episode 2...

Well, at least we'll see it end together. Sad

I'm currently in the middle of watching seasons 1 & 2 as a refresher course since I didn't remember a lot before watching season 3 but I just had to pop in to say this is perhaps one of the most wild thumbnails I've seen on this site in recent memory Laughing

where Hinawa takes advantages of Gold's demagnetised state to straight up shoot the lady in the head. It's a surprisingly sudden, almost cold way to conclude such a wacky fight

I was surprised too, but I guess I had forgotten since the last season that this was tone of the series. When it was mentioned earlier in the episode, I was expecting a blast to the head that knocked her out or something, rather than a clean head shot with bloody bullet wound.
After that it was slightly less surprising that Obi was seemingly transformed and they failed to save him as you might expect.
Looking forward to next week Smile

Much to my surprise, this season has only been covering an average of 3 chapters per episode, which is a pretty sensible pace for an adaptation of a weekly manga, but a bit slower than previous seasons. I guess they must have given up on the idea of covering the manga's last 130 chapters in just two cours.

A bit late, but I loved ep 5. Arthur vs Dragon round 1 was as fun as I remembered (the splashes of actual Knight vs Dragon were perfect) and you can clearly see how happy Arthur was on Dragon feeding all his delusions.

I am a little more mixed on ep 6 but I was already too happy with ep5.

I was fully expecting a jump scare at the end of episode 7. I'm both disappointed and relieved. Laughing

Thanks to the quick thinking of Vulcan, LiSA, and Yu, our bravest little idiot knight errant gets to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

In other words, not only can she sing and dance, but she's able to maintain her sanity after dealing with Arthur. I feel like LiSA might be TOO powerful.

You know watching this was I the only one who wondered how the Adolla did Vulcan manage to melt the Rocket metal in a home forge? It wasn't even a big place.

Just watched the last ep of the season and my first thought after the last 2-3 minutes is "Huh?"

No seriously what the hell kinda cliffhanger season finale was that? Maybe someone else can piece together what it's supposed to mean. I also wonder if theres some kind of reference or easter egg to soul eater on account of that spoiler[Madness] comment shinra dropped. Been a long time since i watched and read Soul Eater but if i recall correctly, spoiler[madness] was a major plot point.

Having read the manga, we're not supposed to know exactly right now. It will make sense later, but for now it doesn't. When the manga was being published it was the same

Huh? Are we certain ep 12 was the finale? There was a preview at the end as if ep 13 would be next week... No mention of waiting for the next part/season yet...
