First Attack on Titan, then Jujutsu Kaisen and now Chainsaw Man. Mappa is obsessed with compilation films.

It's not too surprising given how long it's been between the TV show and the new movie. But I'm more amused by how it's just called The Compilation. Not gonna even try to jazz it up, you know what it is, so whatever!

I'm not surprised at the compilation film though I am bummed out that it'll have a little something extra I'd want to watch...

It's easy way to market your product and a lot of other studios are doing it now too.

Is there any resource that looks at these compilation films and tells the viewer what's actually new in them, without too much emphasis of going through the whole work?

I never know if they're worthwhile and usually skip them.

In this case, it sounds like there are some bonus chapters that are getting animated, but something like a spreadsheet with descriptors and timestamps would be a more useful resource than a sentence or two in an article about just one movie.

AOT got them because of Pony Canyon, and JJK got it because of TOHO. This i the only one where the decision undoubtedly comes 100% from MAPPA.
