A Japanese character being played by a non Japanese or at least an Asian person is bad no matter how you slice it. Although I can't really say whitewashing is anything new in Hollywood or western adaptions of Japanese media in general. |

They couldn't pick a better person to do Ryu. Andrew Koji in Warrior was amazing. My 2nd favorite pick is Rayna Vallandingham, she was great in Cobra Kai.
Noah and Jason never disappoint. The ones I'm worried about is Andrew Schulz and Eric Andre. If they have no real funny lines, it is going to blow for them because they don't have acting chops yet. Alexander is going to be straight bad, like if you guys didn't like Connor's acting, there is no way you going to like Alexander's. But maybe they are going to have him fight only, but that still requires acting. Everyone else I'm either meh (its a toss up) or don't really know. |
