The new soundtrack is definitely more traditional J-POP but it’s still very good. I did buy the DLC because I prefer having both options depending on my vibe.
The game is a ton of fun but the main problem is it feels like the ball moves a bit slower than in previous games. There are no stages that have a wow factor like the final level in Beautiful Katamari. There is a “roll up the world stage” and a “space stage” but neither hit the same scale as previous titles. For 40.00 though you can’t deny it’s a great game even with its faults.

I'm glad this turned out well. I think I still have We Love Katamari unfinished, so I think I'll wait a bit and pick up the digital edition with all the extra songs when it goes on sale

I was so happy to buy and finish this! I do argee it could use more wow factor for the final levels but this is the most fun the side levels have ever been. I especially liked how that pirate one that had split paths with a secret level.
I was also wondering why the ball was so slow, but they have adjusted the speed in the past, so I don't think it's a new issue, although I do wish they maybe made it adjustable or made a "classic mode" that let's you go faster.
