Wait, Wandance has high television ratings? I'm honestly only aware of the show due to the memes about its weird CGI animation, didn't know it was a popular series, I mean, is the manga successful? What do audiences in Japan think about the CGI dancing?

I'm glad Wandance is doing well in Japan. If it weren't for the dead-eyed expressions of the CG models, it would be my favorite show of the season thanks to its enganging characters, great music and impressive choreography.
Even a somewhat cheap show like Blue Orchestra manages to give its characters lively facial expressions during the CG performance scenes, and yet somehow Wandance's staff can't pull that off. If it gets a second season, I hope it switches to a different CG studio than Cyclone Graphics.
