Wonder how much they will reference the previous events. It will determine how high the barrier is for newcomers.
Since the previous series aren't streamed everywhere aaaand I just found out that the BDs are mostly out of print, I'm starting to doubt the chances of this getting licensed

Justin by the manga it's a standalone mission. The references are explained and told naturally, like a new character worrying about nano has well being and we have another character telling them " don't, her literal nickname is the walking fortress". It helps a lot that magical girl lore and space time lore are pretty common for fiction watchers nowadays, and nanoha does not go out of its way to use weird names for its concepts.
