This feels like bait, like the word shirow and interview are in the title but shirow is not the one being interviewed.

An interesting interview. I've got fingers crossed for another great entry into this franchise. Stand Alone Complex is still a personal favorite from my formative anime years. It'll be intriguing to see Science Saru's take on certain themes and characters.

I'm really looking forward to this. GITS is one of the deepest stories anywhere in modern science fiction media. Shirow's take on philosophy and the impacts of cyberization to society as a whole and to individuals is as relevant now as it ever was. That he envisioned what he saw forty years ago is still a source of amazement, and his vision puts him solidly near the top of the ranks among futurists. His takes on law enforcement, government infighting, and crime are timeless.
This series can't come out too soon for me.
