I haven't figured out if Kuro-gyaru-chan, is making a legitimate play for Otaku-kun or not. It's clear she actually does like him, but it's also clear she's well aware that Shiro-gyaru-chan is into him, so she might be pretending to try and steal him to motivate Shiro-gyaru-chan to be honest.
And Saya acting like Shiro-gyaru-chan's mom was perfect.

While the slowly progressing romance is charming I most enjoy the three main characters just having fun together. Zero judgement is had and everyone can just enjoy themselves, including loudly singing an anime song plus dancing along with it. Otaku-kun making other friends is nice to see too and he is slowly becoming more confident (very slowly).

I liked that both Amane and Itchy (I can never quite remember how to spell her name) seemed so genuinely happy that Otaku-kun was entering the beginning stages of making some other friends.
I also like that the show is continuing to mix up some of the usual tropes - just as Itchy is a bubbly blond gyaru who's studious and smart and bad at sports, Amane is an imperious closet otaku who's not good at studying but a skilled athlete.
As to the romance, I hope that little picture in the closing piece of the three together with the heading "Forever Friends" is accurate. The good vibes are the show's greatest strength IMHO, and I'd hate it if it degenerated into the usual harem competition infighting.

I agree, though i do think Otaku-Kun and AMane have some chemistry.

I 100% expected Shiro-gyaru-chan to be more upset that they went to see Zombies vs. Shark without her than she would have been had they gone to the romantic movie of the year.

@Screamman - I'm not sure who I'd say Otaku-kun has more chemistry with - possibly Glittermon though his reaction to the thought that Itchy might have a boyfriend seemed a little sus. But I'm not all confident he wouldn't have had the same reaction if it had been a picture of Amane and some shmoe-bag.
@Smurky - My surprise moment was that I expected everyone to start laughing - in a good way - after the prolonged silence following Otaku-kun's song. Because I was.

What a great beach episode, I would even go so far as to call it the best one in quite a while.
Both the main characters and the side cast had tons of wholesome fun together. The one tiny conflict that did pop up was resolved very quickly. There were also some good romantic moments and the episode reminded me that I do want the ending of the series to be the three of them being together (manga is still ongoing).
On a sidenote, there was very little fan service but I did not mind at all.

Yah, I thought it was cool that the show didn't have Itchy bursting out of two strings with glandular conditions. Not that I would have turned the TV off in moral outrage if the show had gone that route, just saying. It's nice that the author is obviously fond of the characters.
The older brother was a bit of an anime stereotype, but not obnoxiously so. They didn't take it to ridiculous or gross extremes.
Seeing Sayu-san remembering that she was a kid was also cool.
Basically, the theme song of this beach episode was "Good Vibrations."

I loved that Otaku-kun's mental image of 2gyaru at the beach was the two of them in sundresses.

I can mostly repeat last week's post in that the show makes it extremely difficult to pick best girl. Otaku gets along amazingly well with both of them yet they also have a ton of fun when they are all together. It is getting increasingly clear that they have all caught feelings and that those are getting stronger.

Year of our lord 2026, we finally have an anime using a Plastic Love remix for their ED.

What I took away from this episodes is that Shiro-gyaru-chan does in fact know Otaku-kun's actual name.

I appreciate the episode focusing a bit more on the class again since it feels like it has been a while. Some of the classmates getting a bit of the spotlight to make the class feel more lively is welcome too. The seat change was amusing in that Kei indicated that it is her turn now, her reaction to Seo almost spilling the otaku beans was something special. The school festival should be fun and of course it will involve a Kiramon costume.

If all I did was describe the plots, I'd have a hard time explaining why this isn't a bog standard harem anime. Actually, I still have a hard time explaining that. The way the characters are realized? The upbeat interaction? The sunny art style? Anyhow, still on track and heading toward the station.
I do think it's stretching it a bit that people are just starting to notice that Otaku-kun has been hanging out with *both* class idols given that people seem to watch the idols under a microscope.
I'm kinda wondering if Amane freeing her soul and just coming clean about being a glittermoniac is ever going to become a plot point.

Episode 7 was big fun.
Didn't expect to enjoy this series so much.
