The protagonist is named Rose, Trevor and Sypha's daughter. We're getting the usual suspects of Death, Carmilla, and Medusa among the menagerie if bosses, but surprisingly Isaac from Curse of Darkness in it. It looks amazing so far. Also have to highlight the Katsuya Terada promotional artwork they've unveiled

At least this confirms the game is not based on the Netflix series besides the art direction since they're using the game versions of the characters.

Also announced was the Ghibli-inspired hand-drawn cozy life-sim adventure game "Vivarium" co-developed by Studio Meadowflower, Crunchyroll, and Shochiku Games

It was never going to be based on the Netflix series though why people ever thought this was going to be is a mystery.

The art style looks kind of like it, but also people are cynical given how much remakes and new versions tend to replace the original versions when it comes to stuff like this.

Castlevania already had the Lords Of Shadow stuff, along with Judgment so it wouldn’t be the first time they’ve done something different

ngl this looks way better than i expected. Making Rose the daughter of Trevor and Sypha is actually a pretty cool choice and gives the story its own identity instead of just reusing the same protagonists again.
Also wasn't expecting Isaac to show up at all, that caught me off guard in a good way. The boss lineup feels very Castlevania with Death, Carmilla and Medusa, but Isaac being there makes me wonder what other geometry dash surprises they're hiding.
