Got chance to watch it on 1080p blu-ray a few years back. Can't wait to see how this anime film will look in 4K UHD, I assume this anime will be no HDR (as in no HDR10, or Dolby Vision).

Hopefully. Perfect Blue was 4K SDR and looks pretty amazing, and that was even a low-budget film. Ninja Scroll was, I think, low-to-mid-budget. But the art style and animation is pretty stellar, even by today's standards. It's one of my favorite anime films, and I'm very much looking forward to the 4K (hopefully little-to-no DNR, as well). I was lucky enough to get the Zavvi UK SteelBook brand-new and straight from their website when it was on clearance (and when they still shipped to the U.S.) for under $20 a few years back. 
If Sentai is only releasing the 4K via their own steel, that's fine. But it probably won't look nearly as good as the Zavvi one. This, (also Zavvi's) Minority Report (2003), and their Sweeney Todd (2007) ones are probably my 3 favorite steels in my collection. |

Welp I can't think of a better way to pop my cherry on this film. Just hope I can find a showing since it's not fathom events.
