King and Yuri being backported to AoF3 and looking like they fit right in and have always been there is awesome. I hope they have their iconic clothes destruction animations too..
Wouldn't mind seeing more old games updated like this rather than just ROM compilations and dumps. Capcom did something similar the PSP exclusive characters in the second fighting game collection.

Nice. I remember playing Art of Fighting back in the day. Glad SNK is releasing the older stuff with new content to boot.

I'll leave it up to others to figure out how much of the Yuri and King sprites are actually new and how much they are just touched up KoF or AOF2 sprites. I will instead just say they are a really bad idea that won't fit in the game at all. SNK almost certainly hasn't done the same rotoscoping on them as with other AOF3 characters, to say nothing how you can already see how their animations and general look do not emphasize their limbs as they do with the original sprites made for AOF3, despite the whole sell of the game being limb-based combat

Kuroki worked in original art of fighting 3 and returned to the Company in 2016 alongside Oda so I guess he is qualified to revise it

I've only seen the trailer, don't know if they showed more of King and Yuri's gameplay, but maybe the artists at SNK animated both characters using a similar method to the one they used on KOF XII and XIII, i.e. making 3D models and then rotoscoping/digitizing every frame. I have to say that I'm interested to see how they did it, do SNK still has the source code for Art of Fighting games? If that's the case, could they modify other Neo Geo games? Considering that the Neo Geo console reissue was a success, maybe they could release new games or updated versions of some classic games with new content that could be played on original hardware, as well as making them available on modern consoles. I'd love to see a Real Bout Special/2 upgraded version that makes Alfred and White playable and give the ability to switch planes, or maybe making Garou Mark of the Wolves 2 Neo Geo version playable, maybe adding some elements from City of the Wolves.

Sweet. First BlazBlue and now Art of Fighting. Loving seeing older games being supported with new content and updates. SNK fans eating good recently.
Now Capcom, bring back JJBA's arcade fighter with Part 4, 5, and 6 characters

I saw some Japanese enthusiasts already comparing them and deciding they're all new and that people apparently forgot Yuri was already in AOF3 and had a sprite she just wasn't playable and the style matches that one more or less.

Didn’t stop Capcom from doing this with Morrigan in Capcom vs SNK 2.
