A long time back when I was watching the post-apocalytic future parody episode of Excel Saga I remember Excel screaming out "I am shock" at one point (in the Japanese version anyway). At the time I thought it was just random Engrish, but having listened to the Fist of the North Star opening for the first time I'm starting to think it's actually a reference to the opening (one of the first lyrics is "you は shock"). Any thoughts?

I think they address that matter in the ADVid Notes.

::Pulls out DVDs::

I'll be right back.

EDIT: Nope, nothing on the notes. They really are interesting though.

I pointed that and ADV's Gundam reference goof out here

I remember now that Char drops his colony in the beginning of CCA in Tibet. The Zabi family are still most likely responsible for the Australia one.

Makes perfect sense to me. The Crystal King's Ai 'o torimodose! is still considered the iconic piece of music from the Hokuto no Ken series (despite all of its other crazy Engrish). I remember watching a HnK special when the new material started coming out a couple years ago and that song got played so much.

Excel Saga was brilliant for all of the parodies it made. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at an anime parody as when Tekkamen was revealed to be a waify, Matsumoto female named Tetsuko.

Char drops Axis, an asteroid base, on Tibet at the end of Char's Counterattack. The Zabi family employed the colony drop at the beginning of the One Year War as a part of Operation British; they were aiming for Jaburo in South America but due to miscalculations, they missed and it landed on Sydney, Australia.
