I don't know about the rest of the titles that were hits, but Yotsuba definitely deserves to be on that list! That's such a fantastic series, and I hope more people check it out, and ADV continues to (one day) publish it.

So am I reading this right and they took a hit in the stocks and it was the anime/manga areas that really kept them from getting killed?

strahl: Actually, their titles are gold. The real issue is the fluctuation in the value of the yen, thanks to our neo-Depression.

That I can agree with GATSU on. Economy is playing a role for most company's sales, since our dropping economy has had an effect on pretty much the world as well.

Basically. I guess I will be the first to mention this, I think this has more to with a weak economy and less disposable income then it has to do with piracy. Thats not to say it has no effect... but you certainly cant pin it all on that. I wont be suprised a lot of videogame companies (american ones) also report losses, maybe they already have even.

You can only attribute so much to piracy, but the way things have been going with the economy, everybody is having to take a hit. Like my one job isn't making enough for budget, and the corporate office isn't alloting them any hours to have their employees work, so I have basically been getting only two hours a week to work. Fortunately I have my other job but even that one is taking a very bad hit with their budget and sales as well.
