I'd say Bastard!! could be a good one. It's a swords and magic type fantasy setting, with more than a little fanservice (and some actual sex, heads up). It's got an ecchi sense of humor and plenty of asskicking, but the fights generally don't drag on for chapters. Also, lots of references to rock groups like Guns'N'Roses, Judas Priest, etc., so that's a bonus for some people, but not a major distraction if you aren't.
Regarding Ken Akamatsu's earlier works, those are more harem comedy, while Negima is somewhat more of an shonen-action kind of story with harem comedy elements. They're still worth a look to see if you like them, but don't expect much combat (aside from the ubiquitous violence inflected on the accidental pervert protagonist). If you're into the fighting without needing to have the comedy elements, check out Claymore. The battles are pretty intense and the plot that holds everything together is solid. Fullmetal Alchemist is worth a look, too. It's got a good range of emotion to back up an entertaining story. Even if you've seen the anime, the manga takes the plot in a different direction. |

Thanks ill check those out. I've looked into Love Hina well the anime anyways it was entertaining at first but i didn't finish it maybe i should go back and give it a chance. What can i say i like a bit of action too. Fullmetal Alchemist I've heard alot about it even my younger cousins and i think my younger sister (they are in the 12 to 14 age) say they watched it and it was pretty good. I think it was shown on cartoon network but i dont really go there for my anime viewing pleasure. Ill check out the manga though since i want this to be a new passion of mine and the full collections are just a nice bonus |
