Probably Mugen no Juunin. But it's a tough call... close on its heels are Card Captor Sakura, Love Hina, and Hougami Exaxxion.

As an avid manga fan, it's hard to pinpoint just one... so listing my top three will do nicely:
Eerie Queerie
Fruits Basket
Fake

Simple.
Rurouni Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Romantan
Nothing else even comes close in my book.
Ragnarok, Love Hina, and Battle Angel Alita are also some of my favorites as well.

I loved the animr and ADV has the manga, so I'll probably get it when it comes out.
How different is it from the anime?

Maison Ikkoku is my all time favourite.
Though Outlanders and Oh My Goddess! are fairly close.
And mustn't forget Akira either
Or the new realese of Cardcaptor Sakura
Or Excel Saga
Or Gunsmith CatS
And Azumanga Daioh promises to become a favorite too

Right now, it's Kanata Kara.
But my current favorites also include:
Skip Beat!
Basara
And I just ordered volume 18 of KareKano and the last 2 volumes of Kanata Kara, so I'm looking forward for them to arrive

Would have to be Love Hina or Berserk, though I've only read 2 of the Berserk mangas.

Fushigi Yuugi. Just my luck, I have to adore the manga that's released at a snail's pace, all because it's published in Animerica Extra (who the heck reads Animerica Extra anyway?) It's so weird- I lap up all the melomadratic moments and sappy romence and all the "he's dead one moment. but now magically alive!" plots. Seriously though, it's incredibly addicting. Another reason the series is special to me is probably because I've been able to share it with so many others. I've lent the series out at least 6 times, so all my volumes are dog-eared (the #1 sign of a much-loved series). Fushigi Yuugi has gotten several of my friends interested in manga, so it has to be good . I can't figure out why I don't like the anime as much, but it's likely because the anime is a carbon copy of the manga.

Hmm, I guess right now I am really in love with X-Day. Just, I can relate so much to it, and I was sad at the ending, but it was realistic enough for me to think "I am so going to have that happen when I'm a senior!" Good ol' school...gotta blow it up O_O
