I thought it was a good show, if only that it balanced the actual mecha element with drama and comedy. Sure it wasn't original, but it's certainly more fun than Gundam 00 S2. Some of the later concepts thankfully borrowed from more non-Japanese sci-fi ideas, which were fresh enough to make one of the final twists very cool. There was a bit of Deus Ex Machina at the end; more jarring than you'd typically expect, but the ending was satisfying in its own ways.

Well I stopped reading here. Too bad for the people who've never read the manga are missing out. As for the response, yeah it improved a bit from what it was when it started but if you didn't like it then your probably not gonna enjoy it eitherway.
