Oh for the love of GOD!!!! Just sit the hell down and watch Tiger & Bunny!!!! You want to know why you keep getting distracted? Easy? You like it, and you're afraid it's going to shit the bed, and you're going to get disappointed. Well, it's not. Lunatic has a back story you're not going to guess.

Anyway, if you drop it, it's your loss. I'll see you in 2 years when you say "Damn, why didn't I watch this earlier?!", like you did with Redline.

Well, at least you're being totally reasonable about it.

Sorry, didn't mean to come off as a jerk. I mean that you keep wishing for things to watch that feature adults, and no high-school, and you finally get it, and you don't watch it Sad.

I mean, come ON, there's not even a beach or hot springs episode to piss you off.

PS: Why does Justin already know what he's going to order for his last meal?

How can we submit top 3 for 00s if we don't use Twitter? Can I just do it on here? Mine are:
spoiler[3) Cromartie High School
2) Gurren Lagann
1) Princess Tutu]

But man, I do not envy you guys, there was a lot of amazing stuff in the 00s, and picking my third favorite was a tough choice, as there must've been a dozen titles I wanted to list.

Please don't do this now. We aren't taping until mid-October. There is a less than zero chance I will remember to come back here and check your list to read on the show.

The two series I need to watch are Bacanno and Eden of the East.

I am not watching anything by Kyoto Animation, or anything by Goro Taniguchi.

I dont think they started to get digital right until 2002 and even then you got stuff like certain parts of Gundam Seed (Love Hina was one of the best looking anime of that era).

Asking Hayao Miyazaki for his autograph would probably involve public defecation.

I am really glad that you guys are gonna keep doing episodes even though you have less guests to interview. Aside form that these are my favourite types of podcasts anyway! It really makes my week.

Are you sure you don't mean Anno Hideaki? He DID invent the Gainax ending torpe.

BTW, does anyone actually HAVE the R1 release of Evangelion that had this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oL8pvC3mxGo

I heard it was the Platinum edition, and my cousin has that, but we could not find that particular audio track.

We got through all of Tiger and Bunny in my house, and it was okay, but I kinda wanted it to be more about the hero's lives-- aging out, handling being a sex object and a student with legitimate creative aspirations, being an "openly super" or whatever, that sort of thing...and less about actual heroics. :/

Anno is a weird guy but he still comes off as sane, Hayao Miyazaki and sanity seems to have parted ways a decade ago.

Well, I wanted it to be less about a blonde drama queen acting like a little tsundere almost every single episode toward the end.

Befitting of his cute little name: Bunny.

Failed to be original as it promised (it did, didn't it?) I'd have spent my time much better watching Superman.

I don't recall Tiger & Bunny promising to be "original". It was meant to appeal to fans of American comic books and US dramas, hence it was somewhat of a homage.

I did think it felt very fresh anime wise. The plot could be a bit contrived at points but I thought it was a lot of fun and I loved the characters. Kotetsu especially was a fantastic MC, but Barnaby who was annoying at first definitely grew on me.

I managed to get through Tiger & Bunny pretty easily but that's mainly because I really enjoyed watching Kotetsu and I liked the use of American Superhero tropes in the show.

I still don't get why some people want Zac to be more like the other ANN reviewers; isn't the whole point of diversity is to have more than one viewpoint of the same subject? Confused
