Hello,

I have heard a long time ago, that there is gonna be a dbz movie. With real life people, made by fox. Anyone got any infomation about this? Leave some comments about what you think about it, if there is a movie coming out.

I think i would find it pretty cool, but then again might be dumb.

Yes, and no. THere's been a script writer confirmed, but weather the project will actually get a green light is another thing entirely.

Don't hold your breath on this coming out at all, and unless its from fox directly, take everything you hear as heresay and rumours.

Really though, is a DBZ live action movie that great of an idea? It would cost a lot to make too, unless they decide to paint people green for the Namekians.

Someone's gonna find some racial discrimination in that idea.

Probably is the reason why the Dungeons and Dragons movie never had Drow in the first place.

Currently, it appears to be stuck in Development Hell, or development HFIL, if you prefer.

I think the project is pretty much dead, no news for a long while now. I personally think it's for the best, I don't know how it could ever be good. I've yet to see a good anime to live action translation yet. Same goes for the live action Evangellion film although I'd probabally see both of them if they were made, despite myself.

If you're looking for just any movie with martial arts or lots of special effects try some of the more recent Asian movies, not just wuxia like Crouching Tiger, Hero, or House of Flying Daggers, but there are other movies too.

I sort of see Shaolin Soccer as having a DBZ-ish atmosphere, only they don't shoot any energy blasts and that it's a very entertaining comedy instead of an action film. Other than that, you've still got superhuman martial artists playing soccer (of all things Razz).

I don't know how the U.S. film industry would ever handle something like DBZ, but if they can make a movie out of X-Men, Spider-man, or Blade, I suppose they could make something as far out there as DBZ, though all of the aforementioned are U.S. based properties...

Was The Last Samurai any good Anime smallmouth?

Are you cantonese, I have seen Shaolin Soccer and all of the other movies for steven chow. I am cantonese, and a Stephen Chow fan. Shaolin Soccer is very funny if you can understand cantonese.

Actually I'm Lao and don't speak a lick of Cantonese Anime smile, but I'm a big fan of Asian movies and don't mind subtitles Razz. Most of the movies I have on DVD are the Hong Kong variety, but I'm trying to expand into Japanese and Korean too.

I saw a trailer for Chow's latest hit Kung Fu Hustle and I'm doing what I can to save up for the Limited Edition R3 set. Actually, I'd never heard of him until I saw Shaolin Soccer, but if all of his other movies are even half as funny, I'm going to have to start searching and saving up for those Anime hyper.
