I was reading and re-reading Vagabond the other day and I started thinking about one of the things that happened, in Volume 13 (I think...).
When Kohei became a full-fledged bandit at age...13 (?) he started raping and pillaging along with the others. The first time it shows him raping someone, his brother comes along and kills her and spoiler[grabs him by the...thing, I guess I could say.] Kohei then faints. Whatever happened here? Later he seems to be unable to spoiler[rape anyone anymore---that is to say, he's in the process of doing so but looks down at himself, allowing the rapee to run away.] What's happened? I don't know much about this type of thing so I have no clue. |

He was clearly overly possesive of Kohei (probobly a result of being abandoned as a child) to the point of it being a mental disorder; he believed that Kohei was his and only his, as is shown when he spits on the corpse of his friend who attempted to rape Kohei, and saw Kohei's sexual freedom as a threat to his control. This is also why he did not simply kill the wild and troublesome adolecent and imprisioned him; he saw Kohei as a possession or a trophy.]

Wait...
However, what exactly did Tenma do? Just by something like that, it doesn't seem quite possible. spoiler[The penis has no bones, so it would be unlikely that he broke the bones and therefore Kohei could not have an erection. The only was to prevent that would be to cut off the blood flow. ] I suppose it didn't really make the most of sense to me. |
