I was reading through the review thread, and just wanted to get a clear answer:
What have people used to successfully remove the stickers from the FMA tin? Ideally, I mean, sticker gone, residue from sticker gone and no discoloration or damage to the tin. thanks |

Alright, first of all go buy yourself a product called "Goo Gone" (http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jhtml?CATID=100774&id=prod4188) that stuff will deal with most of the residue left behind from the sticker but it does not take it off. Get a blow dryer and keep trying to peel the sticker after using the blower dryer on it, i think medium or high should work well. Don't expect it to come off without a fight... for both stickers on that thing it took about 30 mins or more to get it off. After attempting to get the sticker off with the blow dryer put some Goo Gone on a paper towel or wash rag and start rubbing the residue.
Well, that worked for my brother's tin. Good luck and hope that this helped. There are probably better ways to get it off somewhere else but hell it worked for me. Don't blame me if your tin gets messed up also.

A friend of mine also told me that nail polish remover works if you are careful and quick about it. You might also want to try rubbing alcohol.

First I peeled off what I could. Then I applied rubbing alcohol to the paper layer with a q-tip. Then slowly scraped at it with my fingernail while dabbing more alcohol on it. Then wiped off any residue with a damp paper towel.
My finger was sore, but they came off. |

I will second the suggestion for the blow dryer. Just sit down, hold the blow dryer in front of the the sticker, and wait for the tin itself to get a little hot. This should melt the adhesive and you can then peel the sticker right off, but do it SLOWLY and make sure not to touch the tin directly as it will be pretty hot. I nearly burned my finger when trying to get under the upper corner of the sticker to get a peeling momentum going
