Is it related to Mai franchise, then I'm disappointed but is it related ?

As long it's as good as Mai Hime was, don't want another Mai Otome "quality" series. While it had it's moments it was nowhere as good as Mai Hime. To be fair it could have turn out much worse *points to Sora Kake Girl* shivers

I saw the banner when I headed to Comiket this morning; didn't realize at the time that it was a previously unannounced series. Awesome!

I always prefer their mecha shows but then again most things sunrise manage to hold my interest...

The staff is different. The February issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine is announcing that this project will be a television anime airing this year. The staff is as follows:

Director: Yoshimitsu Ohashi (Aquarian Age - Sign for Evolution, Galaxy Angel, Witchblade)
Series Script Supervisor: Shin Yoshida (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, Karas)
Original Character Design: Mitsumi Inomata (Future GPX Cyber Formula, Windaria, Tales of Eternia)
Original Suit Design: Ippei Gyoubu
Character Design: Yuriko Chiba (Planetes, Steel Angel Kurumi, To Heart), Eiji Nakata (Eureka Seven)
