Just a quick question. Does anyone know why Viz releases IY at a rate of one volume every three months instead of two? It just seems strange, considering its been one of their better sellers (though not so much as it used to be). Might it be that they want to keep level with the anime releases or something? It really frustrates me that Viz releases the longer series the slowest. Just as long as IY doesn't get the 4-5 month treatement like Naruto and those other SJ titles...

I'm not sure why they do releases at different paces either. Del Rey does them quarterly. Rurouni Kenshin is a monthly release, and that's a long series. Maybe they want the money to add up and then release another volume. Kinda like Harry Potter maybe? They could do a yearly release, but they'd make more money if it was released every few years. Confused

Yeah, I can see why they might make more money by sort of building up motivation to buy the next volume. But then why would they release another long and popular title, Rurouni Kenshin, monthly? I doubt that InuYasha takes longer to translate or anything, considering that for the first 13 or 14 volumes they were just reprinting the old edition.
