OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG i recoginize everyone on this list and it will make for one EPIC cover of a song from a series that truly deserves it. I cannot wait to hear this on a pair of VERY good headphones. or even better surround sound.

It's Space Battleship Yamato. In Japan its status is legendary in anime, I'm pretty sure they just asked people and they jumped at the opportunity.

"Uchuu Senkan Yamato" is practically a 2nd National Anthem in Japan. Every Japanese international student I've met was familiar with the song even though some have never seen the original anime series. It's a nice way to "break the ice" along with "Ai Oboete imasu ka". I'm sure most singers, especially those with ties to anime theme songs, would jump on this opportunity.
