does any one know if there are any plans to dub both the new and the old gunbuster series?

Right now, Gunbuster is in licensing limbo, as Anchor Bay representatives have mentioned that it's not in their catalog when they acquired Manga Entertainment. And whoever manages to license it should NOT dub it.
As for Top wo Nerae 2!, no one's picked it up yet. I don't think ADV or anyone here in the U.S. is remotely interested in it. |

Oh, I'd say there was plenty of interest...just not [x million US$] worth, which is what Gainax would ask for in licensing fees. Hell, I'm just happy I found one of the U.S. Renditions tapes at Otakon, even if only Volume 1. But still, better than trying to steal from the one video shop I know of that's *had* the same tapes sitting on the shelves since, on, 1995 or so ^^ |

I'm sure there is interest in Gunbuster 2, mainly because of its similarity to FLCL. If it airs on adult swim or something, it will definitely be a hit. The show is great by the way, the animation and fight scenes are top notch.
