Yikes. Ouch. If such videos exist, what's preventing them from including them anyway as an apology? Well, I guess the discs and overall product were likely already finished. But still...
And how much time passed between that advertisement and this notice?

All I know is that if this was in the US, they'd be forced to do something due to False Advertisement laws

I imagine there will be a lot of returned merchandise, though really I don't even know what Japan's consumer norms are regarding returns.

The sensical thing would be to promise a free disc with the extras to everybody who preordered.

If I had the big import bucks, I'd consider buying Taisho Baseball Girls on Blu-Ray anyway, extras or no extras. Very underrated show, and I don't even care much for sports anime but I consider this one to be a high school "club" show where the club just happens to be a sport and also the historical pre-war setting gave it an additional angle of interest most other sports anime I've seen lack.
Shame they never made a second season.
