I was browsing the Jump website and found that. ^ I was just wondering what it was. It reminds me of Jump Superstars, but I don't think it's a game. |

'JUMP the Revoution' is a special issue of Jump. It was released on September 30, 2005, and featured mostly one-shots.
I think there were things like posters or specials to some popular Weekly Jump series, too, which is why Death Note's Raito can be seen on that page. |

Raito would probably be the japanese way of saying Light if they want to use the english word. They don't have L's so they usually come out sounding like R's. Also, whenever a word with an L is used in writing, like an english word, the Ra, Ri, Ru, Re, Ro katakana are used to spell it.

I read weekly jump every week but don't read other Jump (monthly jump, akamaru jump, young jump, business jump, revolution, ultra jump....)
I'd spell Light since 月（Light's name in kanji) means moon. Japanese R is not the same sound as English R or L. We have neither the R or L sound in Japanese. Probably we pronounce L in a wrong way. It doesn't matter to me though. I don't have to speak English in Japan.  Jaanee~~~~

It's not that the Japanese language doesn't have R or L, it's that they have a sound that is exactly between them, so it can be translated as either R or L when the world is brought into English, and both are equally valid.
Which has led to some lovely translation wars that are really ridiculous, such as Riza and Liza for a character in FMA (I think). Neither is wrong. When it comes to translating, basically one is just picked, unless there is a case where the word, like Light, is originally English, then they'll (hopefully) stick with that. |

Shonen Jump and Gekkan Jump are pretty much for all ages, V Jump is kinda targeted at the grade school level. Young Jump is targeted at high schoolers, but the content you could say is pretty much for adults. Business, Ultra and Super Jump are for adults, not so much because of content, but because of the type of stories of the comics. They're something that older people would enjoy.

And of course, Shonen Jump isn't the only shonen manga magazine in existence.
There's also Shonon Captain, Shonen Sunday, Shonen Champion, not to mention the originator of them all..... Shonen Magazine. |

this is what happens with Ls and Rs. Press the top of your tongue to the roof of your mouth and say "L" then say "R". they sound the almost the same dont they? That's why there are things like One Pieces' Zoro/Zolo (Although the american Legend Of Zorro might also have something to do with it.
 )
