Just for you to know, the OVA series Phantom the animation is based on the PC game called Phantom of Inferno. Media Blasters has released the OVA along with the game so if you feel a bit unsatified, do check out the game. The OVA pretty much scratched the surface of the game which I heard it's pretty short but very good.

I've got the OVA on my netflix so I am hoping to get that sometime in the future after I finish with my Master Keaton......
But I did not know there was a game for this, I guess I might have to look into that depending on how good/bad I feel Phantom turns out to be.
Till next time,
Delta Kiral

I also thought the show was very short. Since it came out in the States a little after Gunslinger Girl I was a bit disapointed. i find it hard to recommend the series over the longer, better scored, and animated Gunslinger Girl.

I've read about the game, and own it(though hardly been into it). From what I understand, the game has like 3 "parts" I guess, the show only really delves into one part and even then doesn't really get into it.
As a lot of book -> Movie conversions, a few people who saw the anime thought it was alright or good but the ones who played the game thought it was really lacking. So there you go.
The characters are all drawn well in the game and the subtitles are fine from what I remember. Like I said, haven't played it much so I can't comment on the finer details. Backgrounds are a little bleh so far, but for where it's taking place that's to be expected. The whole area they're at in the beginning wouldn't be much to look at in real life anyway.
