Just a little question. I'm almost done watching Full Metal Alchemist, and I've heard the manga is not done and is also pretty different from the anime, so I want to read it. But first I want to know how many chapters it is, and if anyone knows if it might be coming to an end soon. Thanks.

IIRC, one of the reasons why the anime diverges noticeably from the manga is because work on the anime began not too long after the manga started (around the 3rd or 4th volume, I believe). I think there was a time when they briefly paralleled each other, but eventually the manga began to follow its own path with a noticeable difference in characters (such as Wrath and Sloth) and major plot points. Personally, I love the manga just as much as I do the anime. I like the similarities as well as the differences... |
