I'm looking for official releases of GE 999 and Only Yesterday on R1. If anyone has any information on any potential sources or future release dates please post it here. It looks like R2 is going to end up getting OY first. Is this correct?
Anyway, thanks-in-advance. |

Disney have always said they plan on releasing 'Only Yesterday'. Hopefully they will get round to it soon.
No one has licensed GE 999 tv series yet. However Viz does hold the rights to the movies which they did release on vhs but still no dvd release yet. |

They aired the entire GE 999 series subtitled in Hawaii on NGN in the early 90s, along with all of Hokuto No Ken. I also hope that eventually all of Matsumoto's stuff is available on R1 DVD. I'm shocked that the 999 films are not on R1 DVD.

Same here. What is Viz trying to accomplish by leaving out such important works? This was my very first anime (that I can remember) and they just leave it in the dust bin. Bastards. |
