I want to see them animate the version that ends with Shiro and Saber meeting up in the after life, as a nice cap to the series, always thought FSN ended on kind of a sad note, haven't seen UBWs yet though.

I have the Japanese Newtype from last month and it has a vauge Fate announcement in it as well. It doesn't say anything definitive, only that they're working on something, but the images around the edge are clearly from Heaven's Feel (Shirou fighting Beserker, Dark Sakura) so I really think it's going that way

same here though there is also a chance it's related to realta nua since that one is based of Sakura like how Unlimited Blade Works off Shiro and Archer , which is also interesting or even fate / extra which i would like to see. Though it could be possible that its something to do with fate / apocrypha. Or even better, Fate Hollow Ataraxia since its the sequel to stay night. I would definitely like to see an anime version of that series. |

The images in that article are from all three routes and most of them are from the PS Vita intros. The ones that are not could be from any route. My guess it's some kind of fusion of all three routes formatted as a sequel to Fate/Zero. Really hope it's not Prototype since it was... a prototype. |

Realta Nua is the PSX re-release of Fate/stay night, with the porn taken out (and full voicing added in). Heaven's Feel is what places Sakura as the heroine (btw, UBW is Rin's route, technically, not Shiro and Archer, although we do get their connection in it). |

I like the sound of that; a fusion of 3 routes put together into a coherent story. It'll definitely feel fresh yet familiar. I wonder if that'll make Shirou less annoying. |

I don't think a fusion would quite work very well. Thats more or less what they tried to do the first time around and found out that unlike even Tsukihime, the routes in Fate are vastly different from each other. Especially Heaven's Feel which all but abandons the war early with the rise of the Shadow creature.
I once saw a quote from Kino Nasu about Shirou explaining that he is a reflection of the stages of life in each arc. In Fate he's as a youth and blindly chases after his ideals despite the reality around him (and thus, terribly annoying); in UBW he's a teenager caught between his ideals and the real world and trying to decide what to do; and in Heaven's Feel he's like an adult who has dreams but is willing to sacrifice them for what he ultimately recognizes he wants. I think anyone who's played the games can testify he is FAR more likeable, and even kinda cool in Heaven's Feel |
