I thought the review was fare and not at all overly critical; true enough, the story's far from a masterpiece of Koge-Donbo's work, but it's still enjoyable.
And I agree that the story most likely would've faired better as a 1 or 2 volume series, which could've given the characters more time to develop and so forth; this would also have blended the often repetitive humor and handled it more effectively. But, as it is, it's good enough to warrant a read.
