oh my god this is was 100% up to my expectation. Since Ace was voiced by Furukawa-san (Piccolo) I was expecting that Furuya (Yamcha) is the only veteran capable to take Sabo. Because Sabo is same level as Ace in characters roles ^^

Well, Furuya is better known for Seiya (Saint Seiya´s Pegasus) and Kimagure Orange Road´s Kyousuke.

The most famous role in Japan is Amuro Ray for Furuya-san, however, because Oda-sensei is a fan Toriyama's Dragonball. So I guess Furuya-san was the best choice for him after taking Furukawa-san out from the story.

So I guess "Pegasus Fantasy" will start playing in my head, whenever Sabo will speak Very Happy
A perfect casting choice. Although I think Junko Takeuchi could handle adult Sabo as well.

Let's not forget Tuxedo Kamen from Sailor Moon. Point being, the man has voiced a lot of very well known characters. Cool guy in person, though.

Yamcha, Piccolo, and Krillin as three brothers. I think Furuya also voiced a filler character around episode 50 of One Piece.

This is true. So this means Sabo is not his debut role in one piece :p

This could be true but I guess Oda-sensei wants veteran seiyuus for his major characters. Furuya could be the best choice as Luffy's second brother after Furukawa (Ace)

I wanted to avoid reading this because of spoilers but unfortunately Crunchyroll felt the need to spoil it anyway... *sigh*
I'm about 30 episodes behind and I don't read the manga so I had no idea this character was returning :/

Anyway, it's awesome Furuya is going to be the one voicing him. His voice is just pure gold.

I predicted it would be Ryo Horikawa (Vegeta) or Kenjiro Tsuda (Seto Kaiba, future Lambo), but Yamcha is close enough for me.

I bet Oda, as the mecha, hence even Gundam fan he is, will be waiting with popcorn (or more probably rice crackers or other Japanese snacks) for the airing of the episode, this Sunday. Anime hyper

What a fantastic choice for Sabo's seiyuu, really. Cool

Fun story, in the dub that guy was voiced by Travis Willingham, who's also Ace's actor.
