I only remember watching a little of the anime, but the series is so charming and its relevance is pretty obvious. I was pretty shocked to hear that last night as well. Condolences and prayers to her loved ones. Oda came to mind pretty quickly, since I remembered reading about their relationship a bit.
It's sad to know that even with how much technology, science and medicine advance every day, there's still so much more that can be done for people. That's two people that had cancer and just passed, right?
