Could be a one-hour special or something like that. I believe there isn't that much left in the manga.

Well, you are right, it is an one-hour special (55 mins), although a bit tight content wise (if we stick to manga, we have about 6 episodes worth of contents), an extended conclusion is better than nothing after all.
