Sure, I'd read it, but Confused ...

It's using intellectual property from a whole gallery of works.
It's a self-published work by a whole bunch of authors sold exclusively at an event without any official publication status.

Tell me, how would any overseas company ever even go about trying to license it?

“In the beginning Isekai were created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.”

So is Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy actually well-known in Japan, or are the authors making a super obscure reference?

Sure, the only thing a private person needs to do is find a reseller. Or be in Japan to attend the event itself. I've purchased doujin online myself.
But that was not what my previous reply was pertaining to.

It would be nice if these light novel writers at least offered sample pages of this doujin or the whole thing as a pay-to-read version on-line. From there, someone could give a synopsis or summary of the points to avoid piracy of fan translations
