Kyoko does have to get involved, at 11:37 on episode 6 it showed empty bottles on the floor which makes it obvious she drank the water (however, unlike Iroha and Felicia, she was able to drink multiple)

"Uwasa" actually means rumor. I find it odd that sometimes they're not translating it.
