Congrats to Eva on reaching 10 billion. After the original wait time for this movie plus the covid delays, a milestone such as 10 billion is well earned.

Up until a month ago, it seemed to me that the movie wouldn't be able to cross this threshold. Releasing that updated version was a very shrewd tactic by Anno and Khara.

Well, that's pretty awesome. Looking forward to the film.
Still can't believe Kimetsu beat it at the box office though. xD

I guess it's to be expected since Demon Slayer is the hot new(ish) series, even if it doesn't hold a candle to Eva lol. It's also just much more straightforward and accessible, so that increases the mass-appeal for sure.

The most impressive thing about the Demon Slayer movie is that it broke all the records from such mass appeal movies like Ghibli's and Your Name.
