definitely helped by having a lot more screens than Jujutsu but of course Dragon Ball is a bigger name to begin with. there wasn't even a screening for Jujutsu within 200 miles for me while Dragon Ball was (already stopped in half) in nearly every theater within that range

Also Dragonball Super had the benefit of being available during Labor Day Weekend at $3.

I wonder what it would take to overcome the juggernaut that was the first Pokemon movie. I can't imagine another pop culture phenomenon for kids like Pokemon was back then.
