What was once a run-of-the-mill life in a run-of-the-mill town soon turns into a quest to track down a superpowered serial killer before they can strike again.

So I've done something I've never done before: I watched the first two episodes of this with Japanese audio... and no subs. Why would I do such a crazy thing? Well, I had no choice, actually. This show has not got a NA release but it can be *cough* found. Where I found it included the first two episodes but without subs. The third episode and the ones subsequent, did. I was interested enough that I sat through the unsubbed episodes just to get a sense of the story and characters. I did a little bit of internet research so I had a rough idea of the premise.

Look, it's not great, but I've watched the first 7 episodes and plan to finish the show. And it was sort of an interesting exercise watching a couple of episodes without understanding (much) of the dialogue. Definitely wouldn't want to make it a habit, though.

If I were HIDIVE or Netflix or Hulu or Amazon Prime, I'd be snapping anime like this up to compete with CR's volume of anime releases. I imagine the purchasing price to streaming rights are probably a bit lower, and there are people like me who'd love to see some of the shows from the Island of Lost Anime on a legal streaming platform.
