I remember the review guide/podcast being a bit dismissive about this earlier in the year, but Alya has been immensely popular novel pretty much ever since its inception so this is in no way a surprise it would take such a crown.

Yes that's not surprising considering that the LN, The illustrator and the 2 main characters ( Alisa and Masachika ) have all reached top 10 in their respective ranking in the yearly Konorano for a while now which only a handful of series managed to do, the only full on romance which is still "potentially" more popular than Roshidere is Angel Next Door.

Not too surprising. The series was already popular but now it's got the anime bump.

I hadn't even considered the series when it was first announced but after checking out the anime, I'm hooked. Spent the last few days binge reading volumes 1-4 and 4.5 of the Yen On release. And volume 5 just came in the mail a few minutes ago. I'm glad to know others have also gotten just as addicted to Alya and Masachika's awkward teen romcom hijinks.
