A lot of the typical isekai and "kicked out of the hero's party" novels, though it's nice to see J-Novel Club is licensing more BL stories.

I’m game for Secrets of the Silent Wotch: Villainess Edition.

And, as ever, a bit disappointed in the lack of classics — especially Slayers, which has like 30 more books left.

There was talk about 6 months back in a FAQ about how they tried licensing older titles and they just didn't have the pull for sales numbers. Sad but true. Hammers home that most entertainment we can buy are limited runs, doomed to obscurity in 10-20 years, 25-40 if its particularly good but not a cultural zeitgeist.

Im gonna check out The Petty Villain Plays by the Rules: Rewriting This Otome Game with Honest Work! As its a long running series with a decent opening pre pub and The Canon Fodder's Ascension From Pawn to World Unifier just to tickle my curiosity on how it handles itself.

Nothing else appeals to me in this run.

Fair enough. Though it is profoundly depressing to think that something like that Smartphone Isekai series, which I think is 40+ volumes, is selling better than a classic like Slayers.

Also seems strange that they’d do both regular print runs and collectors editions for series that aren’t selling well, given JNC is primarily oriented around its subscription service.

Yeah I really love that they did the collectors edition for Banner of the Stars (Hardback). I do not think it was a banker for them but I am eternally grateful for it.

On smartphone and the like: I similarly get depressed that Shield Hero regularly outsells the likes of Apothecary Dairies and Frieren for anime.

I would really like to see a Slayers run as well. Though it is very profoundly 90's DnD styled, I think its certainly a worthy series for a few omnibuses.

Add another request for out dated and low selling content apparently
I would really really love to see full metal panic get the spice and wolf audiobook treatment
