These guys are awesome. Good interview. I saw Powerglove live many years ago opening for mc chris. They had an awesome show. I haven’t listened to them lately but look forward to checking out the anime album.
As for United Arab Emirates, I wouldn’t equate playing there as an endorsement of that government. They would have performed for fans, not the government or royal family. This topic is complex in nature, but they seemed like nice people to me and I honestly don’t think they had any negative intentions by playing there. It could be argued people in those types of places need music and entertainment the most. In same way I wouldn’t equate any musician that plays in United States as meaning they support the US gov/president. I don’t necessarily support the decision to play there but I definitely wouldn’t judge them on it.
