I will refer to the "Evil Dragon Unleashed" edition as "The Rhode Island Cut", for reasons people who've been to and lived in RI will fully understand Laughing

Surprising for a non-ecchi series (from everything I know). Is it really just too gross for Japanese TV?

I really didn’t want to watch this because smoking disgusts the heck out of me, (grew up with smoking parents, smoked in car, smoked everywhere in the house, etc.). But you had to throw in something that’s teasing me badly, and now…. Confused

Not really considered "gross", but considering one of the characters is literal drug junkie, and they have shown it in the trailer - you guess what exactly is being censored ("evil dragon" is the term for drug substances), considering Japan have very low drug tolerance.

There is som minor ecchi there, but it's definitely the drugs.

Ecchi wise we get some bare butts, some full nudity without naughty bits visible, and some humping both clothed and naked. There is a sexual assault scene that deserves its own explanation. drug wise it's way worse, the mc's smoking habit is just the start, another cat is alcoholic, on the level of kikuri, and then we have the drug junkie cat who does weed, heroine and even stronger things. Funny thing she is the one who is better especially adapted (of the vice cats).

The assault scene is A having a crush on B, B explains something. To A and gets carried away and assaults A, A is surprised and does not resist, it kinda plays on the josei/Shoujo "sexual assault is good trope if the assaulter is the ML" ( god I hate that trope), so A does not get hurt, more like she was just taken by surprise but this actually ignites her vice.

I wonder if theyre punching it up with the nudity. The Netflix trailer showed a nip in it,
