None of this is going to mean jack to anybody using a VPN (I.E. most people who have the good sense to use Usenet as opposed to a Bittorrent tracker.)

Soon after news of this court ruling became viral, declarations of plausible countermeasures against the ISP's filtering service emanated from the website in question. Though it perhaps sets a legal precedent, this case is unlikely to hinder the activities of those accustomed to internet piracy in general.
