I'm also really looking forward to the second game. I'm playing Disgaea 1 right now (it was such a pain to get it...and that was for used at $45)...50 hours into the game and on the 11th chapter.
They had some Disgaea-related merchandise and promo stuff at Anime Expo today. Note: if you go there and you see this "get all 5 Disgaea stamps to get a prize" don't do it because you'll walk around forever and end up getting a useless pen that isn't even Disgaea-related. They had the game to demo there, too. It looked pretty similar to the first, but I'm not too fond of the new main character...yet. The trailer looks very promising though, so I'm quite eager to get it. I asked one of the reps at the Disgaea booth and she said the game will be available in August. I previewed the first episode of the Disgaea anime and it was a let down for me. I was already expecting lesser quality because of the buzz, and sure enough the animation isn't very good. I can't say much about the story since it's just taking elements from the game...dood. Btw Kitsune_girl it's forum rulez to use normal (black) font, just fyi. Welcome to ANN. |

Laharl is the greatest lead for an RPG ever. He's bullheaded, not all about saving the world, and I built him to be invincible and just filled out everyone around him (may not have been the best decision, but I thought Laharl was just that badass). So, Adel has a lot to stand up to. I have to say he looks a little promising (since I can't see NIS taking away someone as awesome as Laharl and throwing in someone lame), but I'm going to have to wait and see before making my decision. I'm definitely picking up the game, seeing as the first one remains one of my favorite RPGs to date. The anime is just Flonne and Etna fanservice from what I can tell. I've been watching it so slow that it probably doesn't even count as watching it though, so maybe something actually happens. |

I did played and finished Disgaea 1 and 2. Pluse I watched Disgaea anime video and sometime I like to thier manga. I bought Disgaea and Disgaea II manga but only got volume one and two of Disgaea II. Am still waiting for the third volume!
