Do you mean the third box set? I dont't think they've announced that yet. Otherwise the entire series, including OAVs and Movie, has already been released in the US.

Hmm. Well, I don't really suggest you get the last 1/3 of the series. Post-Kyoto is a bunch of crap compared to what's supposed to happen.
But if you're a collector like me and just want to get it for the heck of things, then go ahead and get it. Though I'd suggest you at least rent it or barrow the indvidiual DVDs from a friend (who was unfortunate enough to buy them) or something. It's a really big downer compared to the pace of Kyoto. Ah well, it's your money...
But to answer your question, I'm going to have to throw out a guess and say around... the end of the summer to mid fall. It better be at a low price too!

Huh?
Are you talking about the TV series or the OAV? I'm not sure which one you're actually asking about, so let me just clarify, then you can ask any questions if you're still confused.
Rurouni Kenshin is the TV series. It's 95 episodes long. In America, the series is divided up into 3 parts. The first 6 DVDs are a part of the "Wandering Samurai" set, episodes 1-27. The 2nd part of the series is in DVDs 7-14 of the "Legends of Kyoto" set, episodes 28-62. And finally, the last 1/3 of the series, as I mentioned earlier, is on DVDs 15-22 of the "Romantic Tales of the Meiji" or whatever it's called, episodes 63-95. In the series, you see the adventures of Himura Kenshin as he befriends Kamiya Kaoru, Myojin Yahiko, Sagara Sanosuke, and yadda, yadda, yadda. Lots of adventure, some comedy, a REALLY good Kyoto arc, and that should've been the end it (the series). The post Kyoto stuff (the last 1/3 of the series) is NOT based on the manga in any way, shape, or form. It's just a bunch of hoopla made up by the creators in order to stall until the manga was finished (which it wasn't at the time). And, because of the VERY low quality (story-wise) of it, the series stopped at episode 95, and the only way to know what happens now is through the manga.
Next, some time in between the series, there was the movie. I can't recall the actual name (Rurouni Kenshin the Movie: Requiem for Patriots, is the translation), but in America, ADV got the rights to this before the series ever came out here and called it the crappy, bastardizing misnomer "Samurai X: The Motion Picture." This has nothing to do with the series or manga. It's just a story the creators made for people to be wowed over. It's OK.
Also around that time (when ADV acquired some of the rights to other Kenshin titles), they also got the first OAV Tsuioku-hen and renamed it (the crappy, bastardizing, but marketable, misnomer) "Samurai X: Trust & Betrayl." It was 4 episodes and released on 2 DVDs. This is where viewers are exposed to the deep and dark past of Kenshin's life during the Bakumatsu. A very well done OAV in my opinion. Although the character designs took some getting used to, I think along with the animation, it all gave off a very dramatic and striking tone to relfect just how it really was back then. One of my favorite parts of the series. Very sad though...
And finally, about a year or 2 ago, ADV acquired the final part of the Kenshin franchise -- Seisouhen, a.k.a. in America "Samurai X: Reflections." This is about as close as you'll get to seeing how the manga ended. I won't go into detail in case you haven't seen it yet, but as Nagisa-sama said, "it's not a canon part of the series." Meaning, you could watch it, but just think of it more as a semi-altered version of the actual events that occured in the manga. It's a 2 episode OAV and is on 1 disc.
Well, that about wraps up my summary of the Kenshin frachise on DVD. Sorry if I'm making it sound like you don't know your Kenshin, but I just wanted to post this to help you or anyone else out that may be reading this thread. If you have any other questions or comments, feel free to post them or pm me. Thanks and have a nice day!
