What I meant was, is there a anime series that is similar to Dual! and is the best possibility of a sequeal. It would definately have to be a anime that is involved in space since Koski was wanting to got to space on the last episode of Dual!.

Evangelion is the closest thing to Dual! If they were anymore alike, they would be the same show. I LOOOVE both Dual! and Eva btw.

Nadesico, that's about as close as you'd get to what Dual would be like if it continued into space (and in the future). Many of the same character types, two opposing forces that really want the same thing but could care less about the other side, giant robots, and lots of time spent in space (though you never really get the sense that they go too far from earth). Certainly worth looking into if you haven't seen it yet, it's a personal favorite of mine.

I would say not. Evangelion is way more serious than Dual! It may have it's funny moments, but it is NOT a light-hearted series like Dual! The story lines are similar in the sense that they both involve young males piloting Mecha in large cities, surrounded by other young female pilots. The actual events are toatally different though.

The events may be different, but a lot of the types of characters are the same. Dual! is basically a parody of Eva, just with a different story.
Straight down from their Evas... oops I mean Core Robots... to Shinji...err.. Kazuki (a different take on Shinji, but still Shinji nonetheless)... Asuka.. wait her name's Mitsuki, Rei.. or was that "D", Misato.. no that can't be right.. Yayoi..

Wow, I just saw a thread exactly like this one at another forum^_^
Well, the question has already been answered... Mecha designs are reminiscent of Evangelion and the character designs and setting is much like Tenchi. Dual! is pretty much a parody with these two concepts combined.
Story-wise of course, Evangelion differs greatly from Dual! This mainly because of the contrast in mood; Dual! is light-hearted and funny whereas Evangelion is more dark and almost twisted at times.

Something you would expect from a parody and also from the creators of Tenchi.
I enjoyed the series quite a bit, especially given it's light-hearted feel, which is a good change from all the seriousness of Eva.
