Well color me surprised. Zegapain is not something I ever thought we'd see more of.

>my sixth favorite anime gets a compilation movie

Well I'll be! I feel happier than an alien bug in a cowboy hat riding a velociraptor!

I would love to see ROCKY CHACK live but Japan's a little to far for me to drive.

This anime is what introduced me to Kana Hanazawa. I still think it was one of her absolute best roles in acting ability. I'm sure many will disagree with me. She just felt more "Real" in Zegapain than she does in many other shows now days. Every now and then I'll still get that feeling from her though, so I still love her. I remember watching this anime and the instant I heard her voice I said "wow, this girl is gonna be super popular after this!". She wasn't though....I think the anime was ignored by many due to it being mecha. Took too many years later for her to get recognized Sad.

Anyway, I really loved this anime and I'm glad to see something is finally happening with it, even if it's just a re-telling.

ROCKY CHACK, who performed three ending theme songs for the series, will also perform live during the event.

GAAAAAAAH!! Lucky! I love ROCKY CHACK so much...I wish they did more anime music so people overseas could be introduced to them again.

A bit surprised that Zegapain is getting a new show. I've never heard anyone mention it anywhere...

I've not watched this series, but piloting a mecha in order to get a video done for the swim team doesn't sound like a fair trade...

I look forward to the movie. I thought the show would be crap but ended up really liking it, underrated show.

That summary could've been better to describe the show. Laughing

This does explain why Sentai hasn't done anything with its Zegapain license rescue yet.

Or is it "hasn't been allowed to do anything with it yet?" I was renting it from Netflix but the last three DVDs are missing now. Come on, I'd like to finish the show this decade.

Who the heck is demanding a Zegapain film?

So many old anime are getting new films or second seasons, and it's just bizarre.

Laughing Well, it did get me interested in it. I mean, what kind of character would agree to that? I'd like to see that character.

Given that nothing has come forth from their Sunrise titles and most of those the Funimation licensed, I would say the issue isn't specific to Zegapain.

I for one remember Zegapain for its compelling story and one of the ugliest spacecraft designs ever. The CGI was plain hideous.

Kinda dissapointing. They've been teasing new Zegapain stuff for literally years and it ends up being a glorified recap movie. Hopefully, this leads to new material at some point, like maybe an adaption of the two Xbox games perhaps considering those will never see English releases?

Be grateful it's not Webdiver-tier CG. The show's fun but man, Gladion and friends got hit with the ugly stick hard.
