The visual looks nice, hoping this manga series will be just as good as Koe no Katachi.

As bad as Koe no Katachi became by the end, with the forced extension of the story, aimless character motivations and inconsequential drama, it had a blazing start. I hope the author has polished their ability to construct narrative connective tissue.[/img]

Yup, That's also what I thought. I guess that's one common problem when an artist turns a one-shot in a full series.. But I don't think the same will happen this time, I'm looking forward to it Very Happy

Love that visual, and look forward to finding out more about the series. I do wonder what the chances of it getting licensed are.

I think A Silent Voice did fairly well for Kodansha USA so it is possible.

^That's good to hear. Haven't seen much of a reception for the series, so was unsure how well it has been doing. Also can't remember it often getting into the NYT's top 10, but maybe I'm just forgetting when it's been there...

They said it had strong word of mouth sales. So I think it sold well over time which may explain why it didn't show up on the NY Times bestsellers list (as that's usually full of titles that sell a lot in their first week). Although I think volume 6 charted so maybe people were getting caught up for the ending?

Yeah, could be the case. Hopefully it has done enough numbers, where KUSA will be interested in more of her work.

Volume 7 arrived yesterday...have yet to pick it up. Always hesitant to read the end.
